Photo-Sharing Website Leaves Consumers Feeling "Overexposed"Austin, Texas, April 27, 2007 They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Customers of an Austin-based photo-sharing website called Club Photo say their pictures are worth hundreds of dollars and they want them back. People all over the United States paid a $10 monthly membership fee to Club Photo, so they could upload their personal photographs, allowing family and friends to view them from anywhere at anytime. Customers could also purchase prints from the company. But a few weeks ago, the website disappeared in a flash... leaving hundreds of customers in the dark. Nobody received any notice that the company's services were ending nor have any refunds been offered. Customers who placed orders for prints in the early part of the year say their credit cards have been charged, but they have not received their orders. In addition, consumers also complain they are unable to access the company's website and that their phone calls and emails to the company are not returned. Consumers complain to the BBB that they have lost years of precious memories. In the last few weeks, the BBB has received 25 complaints against this company and more are anticipated. Most of the consumer complaints mailed to the company were returned to the BBB with no forwarding address. According to BBB files, this company had been in business since 2003. Consumer complaints for this company should be referred to the Consumer Protection Division of the Texas Attorney General's Office. Consumers are also urged to file a complaint with the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center at www.ic3.gov. About Better
