Census Employees Begin Door-to-Door Work on May 1st

Phishing Scam Attempts to Replicate BBB Complaint Report

Several businesses across the US – including law firms, advertising agencies and architecture firms – have reported receiving a suspicious e-mail from the address seatac@bbb.org with the subject line “BBB Complaint Case #” followed by a nine-digit number. Both BBB Accredited and non-Accredited businesses have been targeted.

E-Mail Scam Involving American Troops in Iraq Hits Inboxes

Most people are familiar with the "Nigerian scam" where a supposed member of the royal family wants to give you millions of dollars after you first wire some money their way. Well now it looks like scammers are using the same tactics to pull at the heartstrings of Americans who will support the troops in Iraq. A Second Round of Census Forms May Head Your Way

In the effort to increase the mailback rate of the 2010 Census, the Census Bureau has announced that a second mailing of the standard 10 question form will be going out to areas that had a low mailback rate in 2000. Consumers who receive a second form in the mail, but already filled out and returned their questionnaire last month, can simply ingore it. For others, this is a second chance to avoid a census worker paying you a visit at your front door.
